How Rich People Think
I’m currently reading a book called “Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind” by
T. Harv Eker. This book really has hit “home” for me, in terms of how
our minds perceive the ability of how much money we can handle. It
really defines my thoughts on how rich people think.
In this book, He explains the different ways we’re programmed to think
about money at an early age. For example, if you grew up in a household
that made less than $10,000 per year, chances are your
parents activities taught you to believe money was “dirty”, or money was
“the root of all evil”, or even better, rich people were evil people. I
can remember things like that being taught to me. It’s just like the
saying “monkey see, monkey do” as your growing up. Your parents shape
your mindset to believe Money is evil. Your parents shape your mind
about how rich people think or act. Another thing he teaches in this
book is that just because your parents taught you that, doesn’t always
mean it’s true. After Reading this book, I really think your outlook on
how rich people think, will be TRANSFORMED!
How Rich People Think Is Programmed In Your Mind At An Early Age
Your mind is like a computer which stores files. When you subconscious has a question or gains knowledge, then your mind tries to deliver the right files.
If you have a mental capacity of $50,000, your mind is programmed to get rid of anything more.
Donald Trump is used as an example in the book. Trump went from millionaire to broke in one single day. He didn't stop, because he believed he was a millionaire. Because he believed and had his mind set, he had it all back within two years. T. Harv Eker explains that rich people aren't any different than poor people....other than the way they think.
Here are some examples of how rich people think and poor people think.
Wealth file #1: Rich people believe “I Created my life.” Poor people believe “life happens to me”.
Wealth File #2: Rich people play the money game
to win . Poor people play the money game to not loose.
Wealth File #3: Rich People are committed to being rich. Poor people want to be rich.
Wealth File #4: Rich people think big. Poor people think small.
Wealth File #5: Rich people focus on opportunities. Poor People focus on obstacles.
Wealth File #6: Rich people admire other rich and successful people. Poor people resent rich and successful people.
Wealth File #7: Rich peopleassociate with positive, successful people. Poor people associate with negative or unsuccessful people.
Wealth File #8: Rich people are willing to promote themselves and their value. Poor people think negatively about selling and promotion.
Wealth File #9: Rich people are bigger than their problems. Poor People are smaller than their problems.
Wealth File #10: Rich people are excellent receivers. Poor people are poor receivers.
Wealth File #11: Rich people choose to get paid based on results. Poor people choose to get paid based on time.
Wealth File #12: Rich people think “both.” Poor People think “either/or.”
Wealth File #13: Rich people focus on their net worth. Poor people focus on their working income.
Wealth File #14: Rich people manage their money well. Poor people mismanage their money well.
Wealth File #15: Rich people have their money work hard for them. Poor people work hard for their money.
Wealth File #16: Rich people act in spite of fear. Poor people let fear stop them.
Wealth File #17: Rich people constantly learn and grow. Poor people think they already know.
Program Your Mind to How Rich People Think
If you don't, then you will not have success. These are different key points he talks about during the course of this book, to distinguish how rich people think verses how poor people think. It will literally SURPRISE you. Rich people aren’t “all that bad”. They just have a different way of thinking. If you can take what he teaches you, and apply it into your everyday life, you will be surprised what a transformation you will go through.
